Francine Schutzman (Canada)
Francine Schutzman, a native of Sea Cliff, New York, received a Bachelor’s degree in oboe performance from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, and a Master’s degree, also in oboe performance, from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. After graduating from the Manhattan School, Ms. Schutzman played for one season in the Savannah Symphony and for two years in the Oklahoma City Symphony. Before moving to Canada, she taught oboe, piano, theory and music history at Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. She joined Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, Ontario as second oboist and English horn player in 1974. She has been involved with the Organization of Canadian Symphony Musicians since 1981 and has held the post of OCSM President since 2003. She has also been the President of the Musicians’ Association of Ottawa-Gatineau (Local 180 of the American Federation of Musicians) since 2003.
Ralf Pegelhoff (Allemagne)
Born in Cologne, Germany, 1958. Studied clarinet at the Cologne and Hannover Music Conservatoires. Member of the Young German Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ensemble Modern. Since1983: member of the Lower Saxony State orchestra in Hannover as clarinet and bass-clarinet player. Member of the orchestra committee (1996 – 2000). Member of the labour committee !1998 – 2010).
2002 – 2007: additional studies for training, counselling and coaching with the management consulting company Nägele & Partner. Contact person for discrimination and mobbing since 2007 and additional conflict adviser since 2008 in the Lower Saxony State Theatre in Hannover.
2007: formation of the company Ralf Pegelhoff Entwicklungsberatung / Personal coaching (development counselling / personal coaching). Since 2007: working as a counsellor, coach and conflict adviser for orchestras in Germany. He is one of the founders of the network Der gute Ton (Good Form), network for communication and conflict advising in orchestras, operas and theaters (2010).
Tore Walmsnæss (Norvège)
Tore Walmsness has been a tenor in The Norwegian National Opera chorus since 1994. After a long period as a chairman in the opera chorus and as senior shop steward at the Norwegian National Opera, he joined the Norwegian Musician´s national Union, MFI, in April 2010 as National secretary.
Bo Olsson (Suède)
Bo Olsson has been a viola player with the Swedish National Orchestra in Gothenburg
since 1980. After a long period as chairman of the local branch, he joined the board of the Swedish union Symf in 1997. He is Symf’s President, and also the current president of the new Swedish Federation, FSM.
