Ella Broekstra (The Netherlands)
Ella Broekstra MBA is HR manager at the Netherlands Broadcasting Music Center (MCO). It contains the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radio Chamber Philharmonic, the Radio Choir and the Metropole Orchestra.
She started her career with a regional orchestra (The Brabant Orchestra) and worked for CliniClowns and ICCO (a Dutch NGO).
Ella’s main interests are culture (change) and people management. She is set to increase the (strategic) focus of HR by improving effectiveness and providing the right support to line management. She uses a process approach involving both management, staff and musicians.
People make the difference in an organisation: excellence on stage can be reached by becoming an excellent organisation that stimulates its employees to give the best of themselves. Ella is convinced that HR can play a supporting role to achieve working conditions that enable all employees to this.
Yves Sapir (France)
Yves Sapir est né à Bergerac (France) le 11 janvier 1959. Depuis 1983, il est violoniste à l’Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse (France), Orchestre permanent symphonique et lyrique de 104 musiciens. Délégué élu et délégué syndical de son orchestre, il est depuis 2010 le président de l’Union Nationale des syndicats d’artistes musiciens de France (SNAM – CGT).
Walter Oliverio (Argentine)
Born in Buenos Aires in 1958, this Argentine Musician is the delegate for SADEM (Argentine Union of Musicians), General delegate of Orchestras, Choirs and National Ballets and member of the Equal Commission with the National State, Titular member of the Permanent Commission of Interpretation of Careers of the Sectorial Agreement, AADI´s (Argentine Association of Interpreters) delegate for Buenos Aires.
From 1997 till the date he has been the principal viola of the National Argentine Music Orchestra « Juan de Dios Filiberto », between 2001 and 2003 also served as producer and in 2008 it made the artistic production of his album « Tango » which won the 2010th Gardel Solidarity Award.
He was a charter member of the Symphonic Orchestra for the 3 de Febrero municipality, being the 1st viola until 2007. He also gave concerts as soloist and as a director.
He performed in the following orchestras: Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, Estable del Teatro Colón, Sinfónica Nacional Argentina, Cámara Mayo y Municipal de Avellaneda, among others.
He joined the Gran Orquesta del Tango Argentino with Carlos García and Antonio Agri. He participated as a musical interpreter in Gustavo Santaolalla´s film « Café de los Maestros » and also was summoned, within his string quartet, by Adolfo Aristarian for his movie “Roma”.
He shared stage with outstanding artists: Itzhak Perlman, Lalo Schifrin, Marta Argerich, Jose Carreras, Franz-Paul Decker, Leopold Hager, Horacio Salgan, Mariano Mores, Julián Plaza, Atilio Stampone, Mercedes Sosa, Luis Miguel, Ricky Martín, Ricardo Montaner, etc. Ever since 1984, he has participated in over 400 recordings, including works from different musical genres: Tango, Folklore, and Classic Rock. He had toured throughout Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Japan, Sweden and France.
Since 1994 his artistic career is doomed entirely to the Argentine Popular Music for considering it to be a fundamental vector of the identity of his people.
Békés Gergely (Hungary)
Gergely Békés was born in 1976 in Budapest, Hungary. He is a copyright lawyer. He was appointed by the Minister of Justice to a member for the Copyright Experts Committee in 2004 and also in 2010. He is a board member of the Hungarian Copyright Forum.
He is a legal adviser of EJI, the performers’ collecting society in Hungary since 2000.
He regularly offers legal advices for collective bargaining agreements of professional orchestras (e.g. MAV Symphony Orchestra), theatres (e.g. Harlekin Puppet Theatre of Eger) and ballets (e.g. The Ballet Company of Gyõr)
